Dr. Daniel Kingsley, O.D., is a highly experienced clinical optometrist with over 28 years in medical optometry. He specializes in glaucoma management, diabetic eye care, ocular disease treatment, and post-operative cataract care, including SLT procedures. He has a passion for working with children and special needs patients, ensuring they receive the highest level of care.

Before joining Virginia Eye Institute, Dr. Kingsley spent 23 years in private practice and five years in a group practice. In 2024, he dedicated time to humanitarian work in Germany, assisting refugees from Ukraine and Gaza.

Dr. Kingsley earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and completed additional clinical training in laser procedures at Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Outside of work, Dr. Kingsley enjoys exploring and creating adventures with his wife, Sarah. He is a proud father of six and grandfather of six. In his free time, he enjoys music, biking, and swimming.
